Steps to Becoming an Authentic Learner and Leader

Attendees will learn the importance of being an authentic educator and leader. The conversation will focus on strategies to challenge the status quo and help change the educational background for any classroom and building. For each of the topics we will discuss, the group will list the current problems seen in education in each respective topic. The group will then use protocols to find the best solutions to each of these problems. Finally, the group will use the discussions and protocols to generate ideas and action steps to take to improve each of the strategies.

Conversational Practice

We will use protocols from the Tool Time for Education book by David Langford. We will use the following protocols: - Brainstorming; - Nominal Graphing Technique (NGT); - Fishbone Diagrams; - Potential Improvement Matrices.
