In this session, teachers will discuss and develop the communication skills necessary for leading meaningful classroom race conversations. We'll discuss tips from Chapter 2 of Matt Kay's Not Light, But Fire: How to Lead Meaningful Race Conversations in the Classroom, workshopping through classroom race discussion scenarios that require our best facilitation, communication, and yes - conflict management skills.
